In Tributes from Family
PRICELESS AND ICONIC DAUGHTER OF AGULU OBELEAGU UMANA   Nwakaego, our priceless sister called me Nwa Mariba Ojinwadu Omekwu Nwunye Samuel Nwarize Abia, called me She called me on 15th April 2023 Now I know, the call was prophetic It was not ordinary It was meant to cushion my shock When I eventually heard of her demise   She called me, and we talked Nwaego, Ugo jere mba called! She called to enquire on a burial she could not attend On the she called She sounded hale and hearty She told me that she has plenty airtime I relaxed and we talked at length   Because she called To check on how the burial of niece went We naturally started with the transient nature of life We agreed with the scriptures We agreed with the Igbos: Ndu bu ugha, ima mma bukwaa ihe efu   Then we delved into our common inheritance She was the first daughter and second child In a vast polygamous family She was equally married into a large polygamous family   We agreed that Peace, love and tolerance were ingredients that Made our polygamous foundations successful   We x-ray the challenges and successes of marriages Again, we agreed that peace, love, tolerance and dialogue Are the catalyst needed Both at Agulu Obeleagu or Umuokpu Our families never gathered to resolve marriage issues   Then came time for testimony In retrospection she talked about her husband Whom she married at the dicey age of 22 Samuel Nwarize Abia loved, guided and helped Agnes of St Agnes to reach enviable heights Many waters could not drown their love They conquered their humble beginnings   Holy Spirit of God is on the throne And because of this Successes must always be ours What a thankful sister we have She was appreciative of her daughter Ifeyinwa and her husband were diamonds on her heart Chinedu and Chekwube live with her So loneliness is not her portion Chike and family are making waves abroad God’s love is unending towards Ifeanyi and family   What a grateful soul What a loving wife What a dedicated mother, mother-in-law Her grandchildren are garlands around her neck God has established and planted her Like a tree, planted by streams of waters.   Nwakaego, this Iconic sister of ours I did not know that she was also prophetess Like a skilful ballet dancer We came back to base; sickness and death Death, we agreed could be a mocker Death comes when life seems sweetest Death will come when it will come Death is an inevitable vehicle that will transport us to eternity This woman of faith was not afraid of death She was a prepared vessel for heaven Sickness she abhorred We can be unwell once in a while Friends and foes, talk less of family They would not visit her on a sickbed She would never become a tourist centre She cheated sickness God put it far away from her Her prayers and wishes were fully granted Awesome God, we worship you.   When the vehicle called death came She closed her eyes and went home She was gathered home, like the righteous of old Abraham died at 175 years Moses died at 120 years Joshua went at 110 years Our own precious Nwakaego has gone home She surpassed the now biblical 70 years She went home at 78 years   If years were needed for you to still remain with us She has plenty of females to do that If trumpets, drums and cannons were required She has many brothers and sons to do this Then we whom you love must not and cannot Make sorrow A Trumpet or Cannon ball With which to Shatter the sky   Ada Udeigbo, Ada Agulu Obeleagu Ojemba enwe iro, Nwunye ndi Umuokpu Auntie Federal, Mama Federal Nne lekotara umu Naija nime Federal Colleges I bu onye Udo I ruzuru oru gi niile n’uwa Gawa ka I zuo ike na Paradise Gbogboo!
