Mrs. Agnes Abia was indeed a special kind; she was one of my adopted moms. A woman with an unbelievable capacity to love, she was a wellspring of motherly love. I simply lack the words to express the sweetness and aura of this woman that makes you want to please her all the time. I, like many of my fellow exuberant adolescents in boarding school, was not always able to act right even when I wanted to but her love never waned. She was so sweet and yet firm. Her personality was such that made you want to do right, not out of fear, but appreciation for the love energy that oozes from her. You felt her genuine concern for you and your wellbeing. I personally regret not connecting with her much in my later years as a dad myself but I never forgot the wonderful care and love I received from my mom, Mrs. Agnes Abia, as a student in Federal Government College Wukari. I hope to make up when we meet in heaven. She was more than my principal's wife; she was a dear mother to many. I want to sincerely thank my big brother Arinze, sister Ify and other siblings for sharing their biological mom with many of us students. She was really a sweet mother. A rare kind. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
