Aunty, I met you for the very first time in 1989 when you and my well respected Principal, S N Abia got posted to Federal Government College Enugu from Federal Government College Wukari. You were in Home Management Department while I was a Music Teacher, incharge of students entertainment, active member of disciplinary committee and as such worked under the strict supervision of our dear principal, your husband.
Aunty was endowed with humility at the same time, principled, hardworking and obeyed every single rule layed down by constituted authority. She was very punctual at all college events.
She was very disciplined and a reliable mother to many.
Her candid advise to me shortly after I got married in 1991 made me happy till today. Thank you ma. I remain very grateful and can never forget you.
I shed tears about your demise because when I arrived in London, Ify, Chike and I talked about you few days before your passing onto glory. They had beautiful plans for you which they were already implementing. What a life!!
Who are we to question God’s will. Aunty, rest peacefully in God’s own bosom. You will be sorely missed. My dear principal S. N. Abia, Arize, Ify, Chike and Ifeanyi my sincere sympathy. It hurts but God Almighty will see you through at this trying time.
Sleep well ma and rest in perfect peace, amen.
My husband, Ugodunobu Arize and my children are also mourning you.
Adieu aunty, till we meet in resurrection day.
Signed
Barr. Ngozi Okereke-Anagbogu
